Complete Coach Works (CCW) is proud to announce the completion of its project with Frederick County TransIT in Frederick, Maryland. TransIT purchased five (5) Zero Emissions Propulsion System (ZEPS) buses to expand its environmentally-friendly fleet.

The ZEPS buses were built at CCW’s Riverside, California, location beginning in late 2015. The buses are fully remanufactured and then supplied with CCW’s innovative ZEPS technology.

Nancy Norris, Director of TransIT, says CCW was chosen for this project because the company rebuilds older buses and keeps them “out of the landfill,” adding that “the cost is about 40 percent less than the cost of new buses.” She said, enthusiastically, “If you can recycle something, repurpose it, and save money, why not?”

TransIT unveiled their new ZEPS buses during a ribbon cutting ceremonyat their facility on Thursday, May 5, 2016. At this event, Norris thanked CCW and acknowledged its direct contribution to their venture into cleaner transportation, thanking them for the “help through the whole process” and “making sure everything was good – down to today.”

Dale Carson, President of CCW, expressed his gratitude to TransIT for the opportunity to help the Frederick community, saying “It was very exciting to be a part of a project that is leading the way in transit technology.”

“We appreciate the path TransIT is choosing to follow,” said Carson. “We believe our buses are a step in the right direction.”
